Overview: The BrewBuilt Electric Brewing Kettle is designed for the modern homebrewer, featuring an offset welded tri-clamp ferrule for seamless installation of the SlingBlade electric heating element. Each element is tailored to fit the BrewBuilt kettle perfectly, ensuring optimal power for the volume size. The unique crescent-shaped SlingBlade element promotes a rolling boil, evenly distributing heat throughout the kettle without scorching the wort.

  • Power Requirements: 240 Volt with L6-30 plug.
    • 20 Amp breaker for 10 & 15-gallon kettles.
    • 30 Amp breaker for 20 & 30-gallon kettles.
    • 50-gallon kettles require two heating elements and two 30 Amp circuits.
• Power Cord: Kettle does not come with a power cord; provide your own extension cord or add our watertight On/Off power switch for convenience.

Design and Construction:

• Handles: Located at the front and back for space-saving in horizontal systems, keeping fittings pointed away regardless of which side is picked up.
• Valve Options: Includes a Butterfly Valve with 1/2" barb; also available with T.C. x FPT or T.C. x T.C. Ball Valve hardware packs.
• Material: AISI304 Stainless Steel for longevity and excellent corrosion resistance.
• Handles and Rivets: Stainless steel handles and rivets for secure lifting; silicone-coated handles for heat protection.
• Lid Design: Conveniently hangs from a handle; features a notched lid with a silicone plug to accommodate immersion chillers or sparge arms.

Performance and Maintenance:

• Heat Distribution: 4 mm Tri-Clad Bottom with Aluminum Core heats quickly and disperses heat evenly to prevent scorching.
• Induction Compatibility: Compatible with induction burners.
• Wall Thickness: 1.0mm (10 & 15 gal) or 1.2mm (20, 30 & 50 gal) thick sidewalls to resist denting.
• Evaporation Rate: 1.2:1 height to diameter ratio provides an optimal evaporation rate during boiling.
• Sanitary Connections: Tri-clamp fittings (Tri-clover) offer a sanitary, easy-to-clean connection, eliminating the need for Teflon tape and supporting clean-in-place (CIP) operations.
• Leak-Free Ports: Welded valve and thermometer ports ensure a lifetime of leak-free use.
• Volume Markings: Internally etched volume markers from top to bottom for easy filling.
